another chilling session at Club 97

last night i went to Club 97.. because alex (aka jace's bf) was giving us a treat!

argh..! i forgot to delete this photo from my digital camera's memory card!! and all the guys saw it!! *super malu* by the way.. i really like this new hair clip! but i'm not good in using it yet.. still need more practice! and i DIDNT take this photo because i was trying to be 自恋 hor! i took it simply because i couldnt see the back of my head lah! *DOTZ*

okie.. back to the xmas celebration..

i ordered this.. haiz.. the chicken skin was fried!! argh.. i dun wanna eat fried stuff leh.. but overall, the taste was quite nice lah!

time for games! basically we taught alex (the non-smoker aka 'boring guy') how to play dices, blackjack, daidee, and 'five-ten'.. heehee..

last min xmas shopping!

xmas eve is tmr.. and i havent got presents for everything!!

went to violette's hse to collect my spree stuff.. when i was barely awake.. haha! lazy to put on makeup and contact lenses.. argh.. no image liao.. haha!

then edwin and i went suntec and bugis.. where i chionged in and out of shops.. squeezed here and there to buy presents!

supposed to buy presents for OTHERS.. but ended up i spent more than $50 on MY stuff.. lolx! i was at this pushcart that sells hair accessories.. intended to see if there's anything i could get for my colleagues.. the sales girl and her 老板娘 were so friendly and helpful.. i like! even helped to try the hair clip on my hair even though i din say i wanna buy.. such good service is RARE liao loh.. and it really looked nice! so i bought loh! whoa! it costed $25! but i'm happy with their attitude and service.. so ok lah! then i went to this nice shop that sells pet stuff.. wanted to see if there's anything for shuqi's candy.. but i ended up buying this cute PINK harness for my baby queenie cookie ger ger!

2nd trip to Club 97!

last night i went Club 97 again with liyen, ki, jace, jace's fren.. xiao fong (aka michelle.. at least that's what she told the waiter.. lolx!) jace's bf.. alex and his frens were also ard.. (then again, alex seems to know many ppl there.. heh~)

supposed to meet them at 11pm..

but i got home from work.. decided to take a short nap since i expected to be home very late.. closed my eyes.. and the next time i opened my eyes.. ARGH!! IT'S 11PM ALREADY!!

faster got prepared and rushed out of the hse.. by the time i reached there.. it's 12plus already..!! argh!

i was only walking towards the entrance.. then the bouncers all looking at me.. from their looks, it was pretty obvious that they were all aiming to check my IC already. *DOTZ*

our conversation:

bouncer: xiao mei, IC pls..
me: *gave him my IC.. feeling super sianz and thinking 'XIAO MEI?? he called me XIAO MEI!!??'* actually i'm not small already.. *resigned tone*
bouncer: *examining my IC carefully*
me: it's really me lah.. *freaking sianz*
bouncer: ya, i can tell from the 龅牙
me: wah lau eh.. i where got 龅牙!!! *SUPER DOTZ*
bouncer: but wow.. really 判若两人..
me: *thinking.. 'argh!! super 没礼貌!!' but.. hahaha!*

finally met up with the gang.. liyen and ki were already a bit drunk.. (lolx!) then xiao fong and jace seemed quite steady.. later liyen went to play pool with this cute and tall guy.. and liyen actually lost! hmm.. *suspicious* lolx! ok lah, just kidding! haha!

today we din sing at their ktv room.. and hey! we got a sofa seat! moreover, it was right in the middle.. good view! really like the band and the singers.. they seemed to love their job.. really could mingle well with the crowd although they were on stage..

was playing 'five ten' with liyen.. and AS USUAL.. i just kept drinking lah.. hail to liyen the queen of pool & 'five ten'!! but wah kao eh, how come she's younger than me by a few yrs.. but she's so much better than me in finger-guessing games and pool..?? haha!

dunno since when.. i started 'bouncing ard' to the rhythm of the songs.. lolx! (erm, i think i wouldnt classify my actions as DANCING.. yet!) then this waiter kept psychoing ki to invite me to dance.. and ki actually really did just that! wah lau eh.. i also wanna give him 'face', din wanna reject him.. but unfortunately, i sux in dancing.. and i wasnt THAT drunk enough.. so yup.. NO WAYY..! me shy lah! *face red red*

(so if next time u ever see me dance.. either i've master the art of disco dancing.. or i'm freaking drunk! i havent sign up for any dancing class.. so getting me darn drunk is probably the fastest way to make me dance.. haha!)

later the waiter came again.. this time HE invited me out to the dance floor to dance.. i was like 'WAT??' wah lau eh.. sibei paiseh sia.. so later i din dare to 'bounce ard' much liao.. lolx! but the waiter was really very friendly lah.. although he started to share with ki and me abt some of his investment experience.. which we 'gong gong' listened loh.. hahaha!

generally, loads of stuff happened tonight.. (or shd i say, this morning? lolx!) but overall, it was still quite enjoyable for me.. and probably for liyen who got to know a new DEAR fren.. *giggles*

and hope jace is feeling better by now!! *hugs*

this was the 1st time (opps, i mean.. 2nd time.. haha! since this is the 2nd time i went there!) i ever hear hokien, cantonese and chinese songs been sang in a club! haha! interesting sia! and the singers are really friendly and bubbly!

previously we had half a bottle of chivas left.. but it was finished up.. so we opened another bottle.. (btw.. i kept thinking it was chivas.. it was only when i edited the photo.. then i realised actually it's martell.. not chivas!! muahaha..!)

updates: i thought i couldnt differentiate martell and chivas.. then liyen told me.. actually the bottle we opened WAS chivas.. just that the label was stated as martell instead.. lolx!

how fun can clubbing be if there's no cute girls.. *ahems*

as usual, there'll be those who approach ppl to sell stuff like soft toys and some cutesy stuff.. woo~ kind ki showed his support by buying this clock.. and erm.. come to think of it.. i dun remember seeing him taking it home.. did he..??

btw, since i have a photo of him.. for those who has been classmates with me since sec sch.. dun u think he looks like junquan?? i had a shock when i 1st saw him.. cos they look quite alike!! wahh!!

ktv session @ Club 97

lalala~ had another ktv session again last night!

went suntec to meet jace 1st. she had to go home 1st, so i accompanied her. and whoa!! i LOVE her doggies!! too bad i din bring my digital camera!!

later we took a cab down to meet liyen, ki, jace's bf (alex) at Club 97! whoa.. it's the 1st time i went to sing in a ktv room that is in a club.. the room was quite nice.. but the controller was faulty.. whenever we tried to select songs, the pitch of the songs would be changed.. funny sia.. haha!

later sonic bear and noel joined us.. yippee! noel.. my favorite duet partner!! i HAD to sing 'our song'.. 屋顶.. 超有feel loh! i've sang 屋顶 with many different ppl.. noel's 1 of the best!

later liyen and jace went off.. so noel and i chiong-ed duets.. lolx!

i accidentally drank a bit too much again.. hahaha! (partly cos i kept losing to liyen while playing 'five-ten'..)

argh! wanted to take cab but we din manage to hail any.. so after waiting for half hr, we decided to take the mrt instead.. the aftereffects of the alcohol was so jalat until i dozed off on the mrt train..

whoa! the sun was shining so brightly.. quickily took out my hp to take photo.. heehee..


finally made it home this morning.. THANK GOD! had a few hrs of slp before i got up, dressed and went to wintermaul's ktv outing at orchard partyworld.. was feeling quite slpy.. so i din really interact much with the rest lah.. paiseh ar!

busy busy busy!

finally finally! after a couple of mth's planning.. the Big Day is THIS FRIDAY!!!

today's already wed.. although we've finished most of the preparations.. me and my 'family' are still paranoid (correction: should be getting MORE AND MORE STRESSED).. we are so worried that we may miss out something.. haha!

my remaining preparations for the Big Day.. PREPARE LABELS!! (to indicate who sits where loh!) so i had made plans to devote the whole day in doing exactly that..


but..


last evening baby dwen told me that the VIPs expect something more fanciful..


ARGGHHHH..!! WWHHHAAAATTTTT??!!


so she suggested i print out the labels and then cut into circles.. punch holes.. tie strings.. attached to safety pins (so that we can pin it to the chairs or smth).. but for my character.. since we gotta do extra work.. we may as well do a bit more extra and make it UNIQUE.. haha!


our theme is masquerade.. so i suggested we do the labels in the shape of a mask.. baby dwen said it's a good idea.. so today i brought my own lappy (cos my company's 1 dont have photoshop)..


it's really difficult to design the special labels in office.. cos i kept getting interrupted while working.. wah lau eh!! artist @ work leh!! grr..! in fact.. once i accidentally CLOSED my work WITHOUT saving..

finally, my end product..

actually i'm only abt 70% - 80% happy with this.. but due to time constraint, i dun have the time to work further on this.. gotta conserve my energy and brain cells for other stuff too..

but baby dwen and sergant quek seems pretty impressed with it though.. so i guess it'll do ok! later, 2 of my korean superiors (a mgr and the hr director) dropped by to see how we are doing.. and baby dwen helped to 'promote' my work to them.. they said it looked nice..

but then again.. they are probably just saying 客套话..?? argh! i'm getting paranoid again.. *breathe in breathe out*

anyway, i was asked to do some powerpoint slides for the Big Day.. and tada! my photoshop skills and creativity come in handy~ had spent quite some time on the slides.. did OTs, sacrificed my beauty slp (so now my dark circles are darker and my eye bags are bigger.. @_@), burnt my weekends.. so happy that i've finally FINISHED ALL!! woohoo! and best is, my efforts are super appreciated by my colleagues.. from all my 'family'.. even from the RHQ side.. including the director!!

super 暗爽 when my HR director told me that he likes my work and thanked me for my efforts.. lolx! and i hope he will have an even better impression of my papa boss and the whole HR team too!

oh! and i cant wait to see the audience's response when we show the slides this friday.. heehee.. but hor.. i wanted to keep my work a SECRET until this fri.. but my papa boss is so cute lah.. he couldnt wait, so he forwarded the slides to the RHQ (including the HR director) liao.. then he printed the slides using the common printer.. but forgot to collect them.. lolx.. so those from the other depts at our side also know/see my work liao..

not fun 1!! *sulks*

hahaha! but seriously, i didnt expect ppl to be THAT impressed with my work.. i'm really glad they are very receptive towards new ideas though! otherwise, i wont be able to experiment with the new ideas that pop out from my mind.. heehee! papa boss always encourage me to '敢敢冲'! and at samsung, i've loads of chances to take charge and make my own decisions.. (of cos not in major events lah!)

hope my 'family' will be proud and happy to have me in the team!!

1 more day left to finish up the preparations.. my 'family' and i gotta go down to grand hyatt on fri morning.. so i wont be able to have access to my lappy and printer.. hope i didnt miss out anything!!! *fingers crossed!!*

chilling out with liyen and gang!

super stressed at work.. especially since the Big Day is this fri!!

so when liyen smsed me to jio me out to ktv pub.. hard to resist the temptation! haha! had a strong urge to drink some alcoholic stuff.. and yayy! a chance to use my new gucci sling bag.. lalala.. (i've been so busy trying to catch some slp and do work at home these days.. i simply put my new bag aside.. didnt even touch it for almost a week loh!)

fell aslp almost instantly when i got home from work.. woke up around 8plus.. editing another photo for papa boss while eating the dinner that edwin bought for me.. kaoz!! what the heck is wrong with the network..?? i could connect to msn but not yahoo email!! and i needed to retrieve my mails for the photo.. if not, how to edit??

finally.. after 1.5 hours.. my prayers were answered and i finally managed to retrieve the photo.. finished the editing in less than 5 mins and emailed to my boss..

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

mark got online.. had a short chat with him while getting prepared to meet liyen and gang..

reached uob plaza.. i stopped to take a photo of the gigantic xmas tree when i heard a loud 'OII!!'
eh? is that liyen? oh! what a coincidence! so the 1st thing i blurted out was "hey, how come u are here?" her reply.. 'waiting for u loh!'

hahaha.. went to meet jace.. then sam and 2 other guys who i nv see b4: kak kak.. not sure if i spelled it correctly.. haha! anyway he's also from sgclub.. and victor.. dunno whose fren lah.. haha! (oh! btw, i'd been too busy/tired until i forgot to ask her who are joining us.. lolx!)

later 1 more guy dropped by to meet 1 of us.. *ahems* (to jace & liyen: we know who's the 1 he really wanna see hor? heehee..) erm.. what's his name again? alamak, i forgot! only remember that he's very tall and reminds me of ah meng's brother from the 'Devil Beside Me'. (updated on 15/12/07: liyen reminded me that he's wee lee.. haha!)

anyway.. i wanna complain! how come raining bar only have 1 mic!!? *SULKS* kaoz! waited 5 hours and only got to sing 1 song.. *FAINT* zzz..

busy at work!

the Townhall and D&D is finally coming soon.. this friday!!

which means.. me and my whole team will get more and more busier!

i havent been able to catch much slp these weeks.. go to work earlier, stay back to do ot, go home and work on the powerpoint slides..

finally i've completed 95% of the powerpoint slides! used photoshop to edit the photos, giving the staff new 'bodies' like superman, spiderman, disney princesses, etc.. lolx! today i showed my papa boss.. and he was pretty amused and impressed with them.. kept showing them to the others.. haha!

also, my director emailed the HR team to compliment us on our performance.. (somemore to do with our response to this particular new HR policy..) wondering if it was anything to do the email i drafted? (i'm pretty satisfied with it too! and so are my papa boss, mama sharon and baby dwen!) but like what papa boss said, we shall accept compliments and criticisms as a TEAM!

oh boy, i love my new 'family'..

and oh, i really must thank my new fren.. mark! paiseh, cant remember when was the 1st time i saw him.. (heck, i dun even remember his face.. opps..!) but he was a great help to me last fri.. i had to send this stupid CD out.. but due to time, money and other shitty constraints.. the best alternative was to send email.. but the size was 50MB!!

luckily, mark was there to help me.. (he's the 1 of the IT guys in samsung..) in fact he practically helped me the whole afternoon.. and he was really encouraging.. kept trying to cheer me up.. (especially after i kept msging stuff like 'faint' and 'puke blood'.. lolx!)

today was another busy and boring day at work.. and then tada! a message dialogue popped up.. it's mark to the rescue again! lolx! talked cock with him for a while.. a good way to destress.. haha! he's so sweet lah.. he could go home on time today.. but he stayed just to accompany me and chat.. until i shooed him off.. haha!

the price of attaining beauty..

headed to wong dental clinic for a consultation regarding braces..

the overall cost is $5k! *sianz* duration will take about 2 years.. *very sianz*

but luckier, Dr Wong helped to give me a little 'push'.. since i'm sick of waiting so i decided to go ahead! he's also very 'on' lah.. once i said 'ok', he proceeded to do a mould of my teeth.. some rubbery liquid thingy which hardens after a while.. i've read online, and some commented that the rubbery stuff tasted yucky.. but i thought it was quite ok.. in fact when Dr Wong was stuffing it into my mouth (LOLX!), i thot.. "whoa! cool! and fun!" hahahaha!

actually i gotta pay a downpayment of $1500 1st.. but Dr Wong dont keep any stock for the type of braces i want.. (as they are a bit more ex than the normal ones.. so not many ppl choose it.. hence he dont keep any stock at all..)

so i paid $750 while Dr Wong orders the braces for me.. *there goes abt half my pay (after cpf deduction).. zzz..

i was told that my jaw is too small.. hence there's overcrowding.. then it seems pretty 'chim' lah.. the top row of my teeth has moved outwards while the bottom row of my teeth moved inwards.. so i gotta wear this headgear thingy for a few hours each night for a few months..

no wonder i always feel that somehow my face's outline (in the side view) seems a bit awkward.. so cool! i'm gonna get this fixed.. in 2 years' time! and of cos, i'm going to have a straight set of teeth.. which means, a beautiful smile!

hope i can look prettier then..! hiak hiak hiak!!

still gotta go for 1 more session of intensive scaling before i can do the teeth extraction and put on the braces.. and my next dental appointment is.. 12 Jan 2008!!!

the earliest available slots they have are in Jan 2008.. whoa!! Dr Wong is way, way too popular liao!

time for a change!

my faithful old adidas sling bag has been with me since my poly days.. after buying it, i havent buy any other sling bags..

but well.. it's been so many yrs.. i've since advanced from being a simple, guai sch girl to a simple, responsible office lady who.. erm.. sometimes (ok, MANY times lah..) derives pleasures by buying (and using, of cos! lolx!) luxury items..

also.. especially when it comes to bags, clothes, shoes, i always like to stick with the same stuff for a long time (depending on how long they can last!). plus i notice that my outfits and adidas bag dun really match..

..so it's time for me to buy a new (branded!) sling bag!

after searching and searching.. i finally found The Sling Bag.. now that it's year end already.. wondering if taka would have its usual taka card special (TCS)? asked shuqi abt it.. she also think TCS shd be coming soon..

another eyebrow trimming session.. ^^

met jos to go for our eyebrows trimming session..

as usual, it's.. OUCH OUCH OUCH!!!

but well.. looking at my nicely arched eyebrows.. i couldnt help feeling.. THE PAIN IS WORTH IT!! *twitching my eyebrows* haha!

did some catching up with jos.. talked and talked and talked for hours.. (no wonder i always feel thirsty whenever i meet jos.. lolx!) and i guess our friendship has reached a point whereby i can be very open with her.. when i started telling her some of my so-called dark secrets.. *ahems*

but well, actually they arent exactly much of a secret.. just that these stuff are not exactly the kind of things i would simply go round telling everyone.. ppl will probably think.. "why is she telling me these..??"

hahaha..

anyway.. she was telling me that she likes her current job.. so good for her! so glad that she finally found a job.. and in fact, one that she really likes! hope clau can also find a job soon!
